In the Booth with Ruth – Bryn M. Barton, Mother of a Sex Trafficking Victim and an Anti-Human Trafficking Advocate

Blood gang member traffickers in California took Bryn M. Barton’s daughter, Kristi Merrill. In her interview, Bryn says, “It brought me to my knees, but I became almost insanely dedicated to finding her because nobody else would.”

  1. Although now that I think of it I’m surprised I didn’t think of it before, I was surprised to hear of the Bloods trafficking girls. Why wouldn’t they? Girls are commodities that make money, like drugs and weapons, right? I’m sick for you, Bryn, but so proud that you took them on (and probably at the peril of your own life, if I know the Bloods-n-Crips). My own mother turned her back on me, even though she is a social worker too. I bless you all that you should have the healing you need, and the strength to carry on your wonderful good work.
